We are pleased to announce a new payment gateway is now available, customers can now pay via NOCHEX which supports Verified by Visa & MasterCard SecureCode technology. You do not need an account to pay. This means we now have three payment options available-NOCHEX, Pay Pal AND Google Checkout, if that isn't choice then we do not what is!!! First things first! We have updated the website which now includes a search function-search by product code or description. We've also added support forums which will be added to over the coming months to include common questions & solutions-in the mean time feel free to join and post any queries you may have! In other news we've installed a 16 point CAT5e network in Mold, North Wales. The clients existing BT versatility system was also integrated into the structured cabling. A 5 point CAT5e network was installed in in Bontnewydd, Gwynedd. Both networks featured the supply & installation of Netgear Prosafe switches and both projects were completed to schedule in one day.

Yet again we have added many new products to the shop page! You can now find RJ10/RJ9/RJ22 couplers & extension leads and many other useful telecoms & networking products. We've also expanded our RJ11/BT to RJ45 patch kit range so you can now have multiple voice extensions as well as ADSL patched over CAT5/RJ45 cabling-see the full range HERE. Our structured cabling service continues to provide customers with a first class fast service, a 26 point CAT5e network was installed in Wrexham, North Wales which included consolidating the clients existing network cabling & router into the new system. A 12U patch cabinet housed the network patch panels, power distribution units & Netgear Pro Safe switches which were all patched in & tested by run-IT-direct-we are more than just a cable installation company! A 16 point CAT5e network was installed in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Both projects required 100% of cables to be contained in PVC trunking and were completed outside of normal office hours for minimal disruption. Additional points were added to existing run-IT-direct networks in Coventry & Wigan. An existing run-IT-direct telephone system in Oldbury, West Midlands had an additional DECT cell station added for increased capacity.

run-IT-direct celebrates it's 6th year of trading-a very big thank you to all our customers old and new for their continual support & custom throughout 2007-we look forward to serving you all in 2008! We've added some great new products to the online shop-ADSL filtered BT sockets are becoming much more popular (do away with unsightly micro filters!) and we've got a good selection of SIN 346 compliant (BT standard) UK manufactured ones for you!  We've also added ADSL RJ11 to RJ11 leads-do away with extension leads to ADSL modems and routers which can improve the ADSL signal as you do away with a join in the line. Finally CAT5e port doublers-whilst we would always advise customers who's network is up to capacity to have additional data ports added these little devices allow the use of two 10/100 devices over one CAT5e cable-a good stop gap in those emergency situations! In other news run-IT-direct installed a 36 point CAT5e network in Wigan along with a Panasonic KX-TDA15 phone system. The project was completed in one day to the customers full satisfaction.

Netgear WG102 Pro Safe wireless access points added to an existing network in Telford to give wireless access for sales representatives.

Role out of Panasonic phone system upgrade project. The systems comprised of a mixture of ISDN30 and ISDN2e :- Panasonic KX-TDA600 & TVM200 voice mail solution with 90 users installed in Shrewsbury, KX-TDA100 systems installed in Sheffield & Oldbury with TVM50 voice mail solution. TDA15 systems with TDA-3192 voicemail solution installed in Wigan, Derby, Gloucester, Pyle, Peterborough, Telford, Coventry, Newcastle upon Tyne. All sites featured KX-TCA155 DECT handsets with KX-TDA0141 DECT base stations. A total of 70 KXT-7633 & 76 KXT-7668 handsets were also supplied, the project was completed on schedule and is backed up by our maintenance partner, Maintel. A major client of ours benefited from our remote dial in service, thanks to a BT error their entire phone number/DDI range was changed, we were able to quickly verify the fault, remotely dial into the system and reset the customers PBX. This was all completed in less time that it would take an engineer to visit the premises! Don't be caught out-make sure your telecoms equipment is covered for breakdowns/faults!

run-IT-direct celebrates it's 5th year of trading. Panasonic KX-TES824 Analogue phone system supplied & installed for a company in Wrexham, North Wales. The KX-TES824 is a feature rich analogue PBX with option such as CLI (Caller Line Identifier) available, see it HERE. Panasonic KX-TDA30 digital phone system supplied & installed in Cardiff, Wales. 24 point CAT5e network also installed at the same company with the telephone system fully integrated with the network, using features like CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) to allow callers details to "pop up" on the users PC screen. 16 External CAT5e points were also installed to connect two buildings together-CAT5e was used so each point can be voice OR data. 8 CAT5e points added to an existing run-IT-direct network in Coventry & 4 CAT5e points added to a network in Shrewsbury.

10 point CAT5e network installed in residential premises in Leicester. Customers BT line also patched into the network cabling to enable them to plug a phone in anywhere in the house using the supplied BT to RJ45 Converter. 28 Point CAT5e network installed in Stockton on Tees. This network also had a new Panasonic KXTDA-15 phone system installed. The KXTDA-15 is VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) ready and has been fully integrated into the computer network cabling system. Panasonic KX-T7633 & KX-T7665 phones were supplied. Everything is enclosed in the supplied 12U cabinet for neatness and security. Our new customer  feedback area is now live-we urge ALL customers old & new to leave feedback on us for others to see.

A very big thank you to all our new ONLINE customers-last month was a record breaker for online sales! Installation of an external IP56 fibre patch box along with the termination of 25 pair CW1308 cables at one of our existing networks in Gloucester. Also the installation of an armoured fibre optic link and CAT5e wiring at the Centre for Alternative Technology in Machynlleth, Powys, Wales. Our online forms are now powered by allforms. allforms supports 128-bit SSL encryption which means we can accept sensitive information like personal details, bank information etc through our forms. This also helps us reduce time wasting SPAM!

This month run-IT-direct has gone VAT registered. If you are a business that is VAT registered too this will make no difference what so ever to your prices-your invoices will now show VAT which is recoverable. For personal individuals and businesses that are not VAT registered this will unfortunately mean you will pay a little extra from now on. Telford's Wastefile UK has had work completed by run-IT-direct. run-IT-direct removed their existing patch cabinets and fitted two APW 42U Patch Frames. The existing structured cabling panels were fitted into the new frames. Shelves for the customers routers, firewalls and Nortel BCM equipment were also provided. Finally, three six outlets PDU's (Power Distribution Units) were fitted to keep the power supply side of things neat & tidy. ALL existing patch leads were replaced with colour coded leads and the entire structured cabling system was wire mapped with the customer receiving both a paper copy and word format copy for easy updates to the documentation. Work was completed out of hours for obvious reasons and an engineer was on site Monday morning to ensure no errors had been made. (ZERO errors were found!)

Home network installed in Shrewsbury consisting of ADSL telephone extension & D-Link DSL604T Wireless router. All PC's and laptop configured for Internet access and automatic software updates.

Prices on our RJ45 patch kits have been reduced. Prices on our analogue phone line tester have also been reduced. This summer has seen a marked increase in broadband router sales with the majority of installs in the home environment.
