We've had customers contact us regarding some information currently on the Internet. This information claims if your NTE5 has the moulding for the bell wire filter then you are OK. Unfortunately this is NOT the case. There was a transitional period when the moulding was in place but the inductor(filter) was not fitted to the PCB. The only way to be sure is to remove the lower faceplate and remove the cover to reveal the PCB!


First the moulding,this can be present while the filter(inductor) is not present.



The only way to be sure the filter(inductor) is fitted is to remove the PCB from the plastic case.
