Installing the VDSL Faceplate

Installation of the BT VDSL faceplate is very simple, if you are not running an extension for broadband there is NO wiring to perform! Simply undo the original lower front of the NTE5 socket :-

Move the front plate out of the way (if you have no other extensions running from the master socket your lower front plate will not have any wiring on it!) :-

Install the VDSL faceplate into the back ...

Using an IDC Tool

To use an IDC tool is very simple, there is no need to remove the insulation from the wire.

IDC Tool:-

First lay the wires over the top of the IDC block :-

Then use the IDC tool to push the wire firmly into the block, note the tool will only fit one way :-

Installing an ADSL faceplate Splitter

Although our ADSL faceplates come with BT Openreach instructions we thought we would post this up just to be safe :)

First off to fit the NTE5 ADSL faceplate splitter you need to remove the front lower half of the NTE5 :-

You could discard the front lower plate but keep it just in case! :-
